Senior IT Systems & Projects Manager

Join us as the Senior IT Systems & Projects Manager!

Full time 40 hours, Monday - Friday

The position will sit in Auburn, with travel to TaraVista and MiraVista Hospitals (Devens & Holyoke) as needed.

The Senior IT Systems and Projects Manager supports IT operations, EMR optimization, project execution, and technology modernization across a growing behavioral health organizations. This is a highly visible, hands-on role for a motivated IT professional who combines technical credibility, sound judgment, strong communication skills, project ownership, and a practical understanding of how technology supports daily hospital operations.

This role will work closely with the Vice President of IT and Data Analytics to help manage day-to-day systems needs, complete key projects, support user adoption, and contribute to future technology improvements.

As the Senior IT Systems and Projects Manager:

  • Provide support for IT systems, applications, infrastructure, and end-user technology needs across multiple locations.
  • Troubleshooting issues, coordinating with vendors and managed service providers, supporting secure and reliable technology operations, and identifying opportunities to improve systems, workflows, and user experience.
  • Support the organization’s EMR platform following recent go-live, including workflow troubleshooting, user support, remaining integration work, backend configuration support, and documentation.
  • Own and move assigned projects forward from planning through completion. This includes identifying work that needs to be done, organizing tasks and timelines, tracking open items, communicating barriers, and providing regular proactive updates to leadership.
  • Support technology readiness for new and expanded hospital units by participating in walkthroughs, identifying practical technology needs, organizing purchasing requests, and coordinating follow-up with the managed service provider, desktop team, vendors, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Support current and future technology adoption efforts, including the Microsoft Teams migration, Microsoft 365 tools, OneDrive, Microsoft Copilot evaluation, and other workflow improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as an internal point of coordination for vendors, managed service providers, software vendors, and implementation partners.
  • This role requires clear communication, follow-up, accountability, and the ability to translate technical information into practical next steps for non-technical users and leaders.

The Senior IT Systems and Projects Manager candidates will have the following:

  • 7+ years of progressive IT experience in systems support, infrastructure, technical operations, project management, or related roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree, completed technical training program, relevant IT certifications, or equivalent documented hands-on IT experience required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Microsoft Teams and OneDrive.
  • Working knowledge of IT systems, endpoints, networks, VoIP, and cloud-based tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage technical projects from planning through completion.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to maintain clear task lists, track open items, follow up consistently, and move work through completion.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to provide proactive updates without being prompted.
  • Ability to identify work independently, organize priorities, and follow through without constant direction.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors, managed service providers, or technical support resources.
  • Ability to learn and support complex business or clinical applications.
  • Strong attention to detail when supporting permissions, application settings, backend configuration, or other system changes.
  • Ability to participate in on-site walkthroughs, identify practical technology needs, and organize findings into clear action items or purchasing requests.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

Pay Range:

Compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience.

$100,000 - $120,000
